Synopsis

Ordinary Fellows is a Coming of Age drama of Youth and Restlessness, set against the back-drop of Nigerian academia and African myths. It’s about Prof. Jega; an alcoholic Nigerian professor going through agonizing mid-life crises, who takes his students to an African themed resort for an academic excursion despite the alerts from the departments and the mystery surrounding the resort. Among those students are Dj Cash; a disc-jockey cum pimp tired of the restless struggle to balance his desire for fame, academic excellence and financial freedom, Ada; an anorexic model in love with him, Nnamdi; a geek who has a crush on the model, Ify; a runs girl who just got a positive pregnancy test result, Geraldine; a spoilt rich girl whose father just got arrested by the EFCC, Efya; a Ghanaian and Gozie; the class-rep - two lovebirds scared of loving, Ifeanyi; a heart-broken lesbian, Cee-jay; a cultist wanna-be, Boogie; a braggart, Grace; a passionate Christian and Dilichukwu; an A-list student with an offer to spy on them; an offer she got from Mr. Mgbu; a puritan lecturer who’s been struggling in vain to gain his doctorate degree for over a decade. The excursion which was meant to be another scholarly exercise ends up a life-changing adventure for all the participants.
